WC East GV tried its best to erase a five-goal deficit, but Unionville GV would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 7-5.

Unionville GV took a 7-2 lead during the third period, only to have WC East GV storm back on a Kristen Eland goal 14:17 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Jordan Hower was all over the ice for Unionville GV, as he tallied two goals and three assists in the win. Hower scored the first of his two goals at 4:00 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Unionville GV. Hower's next tally made the score 6-1 Unionville GV with 13:04 left in the third period. Lizzy Gaebel assisted on the tally.

Unionville GV forced WC East GV goalie Danielle Latare to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
