WC East GV scored six goals in the second period to pull away from Shanahan GV and clinch a 13-6 win. WC East GV got the win thanks to a great game by Erin Bonner, who had four goals and three assists. Bonner's first goal came 4:05 into the second period. He then added goals at 4:26 into the second, at 2:11 into the third, and at 3:31 into the third. WC East GV managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. WC East GV ended up below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game. WC East GV surpassed its usual scoring output this season. WC East GV has scored at the pace of 7.5 goals per game during the current campaign. WC East GV cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances. The defensemen of WC East GV were also effective in Shanahan GV's zone, and came away with four goals. WC East GV additionally got points from Kristen Eland, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Meredith Pinhiero, who also registered two goals and one assist, Anne Cleary, who also finished with two goals and two assists, and Rachel Girard, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. WC East GV also got a goal from Shannon Russell as well. In addition, WC East GV received assists from Hannah Pinhiero, who had four and Gemma Dufoe and Madison Lemarquand, who each chipped in one. Shanahan GV got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Shanahan GV was helped by Mikaila Rubin, who tallied two goals and one assist. Rubin scored the first of his two goals at 13:24 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Meghan Rock assisted on the tally. Rubin's next tally made the score 12-6 WC East GV with 9:18 left in the third period. Christine Lampron also scored for Shanahan GV. WC East GV's Danielle Latare stopped 10 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Cassie ODonnell rejected 10 shots on goal for Shanahan GV. Shanahan GV incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
