Unionville GV uses big second period to beat Radnor GV, 11-4

Radnor GV allowed Unionville GV to net four goals during the second period and fell, 11-4.

Unionville GV got the win on the strength of a great game by Claire Donovan, who had four goals and four assists. Donovan notched his first tally 11:47 into the first period. He then added goals at 36 seconds into the second, at 5:59 into the third, and at 7:39 into the third.

Radnor GV was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Unionville GV was able to score four times while on the power play.

Unionville GV forced Radnor GV goalie Tessa Landry to work between the pipes, taking 75 shots. Unionville GV's goal total was higher than its season average. Unionville GV averages 8.8 goals per game.

Unionville GV also got points from Kaitlyn Anderson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Jordan Hower, who also finished with three goals and three assists. Hannah Close also scored for Unionville GV. In addition, Unionville GV received assists from Allie Ward and Madison Miles, who contributed one each.

Radnor GV found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 11 shots against Unionville GV's defense. Radnor GV could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Radnor GV was helped by Josie Larkin, who racked up one goal and one assist. Larkin scored 2:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Radnor GV. Courtney Schreiber assisted on the tally. Radnor GV also got a goal from Lindsey Coffey as well.

Lizzy Gaebel rejected seven shots on goal for Unionville GV. Unionville GV incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Landry recorded 64 saves for Radnor GV. Radnor GV registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
