Garnet Valley GV survived a determined comeback attempt by Downingtown West GV on the way to a 5-4 win.

Garnet Valley GV took a 5-3 lead during the second period, only to have Downingtown West GV storm back on a Elizabeth DGinto goal 9:36 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Abby Shows had a great game for Garnet Valley GV, netting four goals. Shows' first goal came 11:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:26 into the second, at 5:57 into the second, and at 7:19 into the second.

Garnet Valley GV got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed five goals during the game.

Garnet Valley GV also got a goal from Rachel Craig as well. Other players who recorded assists for Garnet Valley GV were Maddy OMalley, who had two, Emilie Kennedy, who had three, and Jennifer Goldstein and Alana Lamplugh, who each chipped in one.

Downingtown West GV did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Delaney Carle also scored for Downingtown West GV. In addition, Downingtown West GV received assists from Samantha Schultz, who had one.

Alexa Lamplugh made 18 saves for Garnet Valley GV on 22 shots. Garnet Valley GV avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays. Downingtown West GV's Tamara Boboige stopped 18 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Downingtown West GV registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
