Pursuit of Excellence 18U beats Philadelphia Little Flyers 18U 5-3 after comeback scare

Philadelphia Little Flyers 18U tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Pursuit of Excellence 18U held on for a 5-3 victory.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U made the score 5-2 on a goal by Ty Pochipinski at 14:37 in the third period, and Philadelphia Little Flyers 18U got as close as 5-3 when Jacob Tomita scored 16:11 into the third period.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U was paced on offense by Ryan Butler and Matthew Kopperud, who combined for six points. Butler racked up one goal and two assists and Kopperud also notched one goal and two assists.
