Esmark Stars 18U uses shootout to best New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, 4-3

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Esmark Stars 18U defeated New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U in a shootout 4-3.

The shootout lasted for 12 attempts between the teams.

Esmark Stars 18U overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Esmark Stars 18U fell behind 3-0 after a power play goal by New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's Max Weber at 6:51 in the second period. Esmark Stars 18U tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Hunter Fraser at 4:04 in the third period.

Esmark Stars 18U forced New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U goalie Brendahn Bralwey to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Esmark Stars 18U was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 46 penalty minutes.
