Wenatchee Wolves 18U uses shootout to best Pursuit of Excellence 18U, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Wenatchee Wolves 18U defeated Pursuit of Excellence 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The two teams needed seven turns to complete the shootout. Pursuit of Excellence 18U got a shootout goal from Cassidy Bowes. Wenatchee Wolves 18U also got shootout goals from Josh Chamberlain and Tom Ignatovich.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U was helped by Hayden Givens, who had one goal. Givens scored 2:26 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jacob Bennett assisted on the tally. Raymond Fleming also scored for Wenatchee Wolves 18U. More assists for Wenatchee Wolves 18U came via Chamberlain and Thomas Hendry, who each chipped in one.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U was unable to stop Pursuit of Excellence 18U from sending pucks towards the net, and Pursuit of Excellence 18U eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U was helped by Matthew Kopperud, who registered one goal. Kopperud scored 9:21 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Aidan Buhler picked up the assist. Pursuit of Excellence 18U also got a goal from Sami Pharaon as well. In addition, Pursuit of Excellence 18U received assists from Juanre Naude and Brett Piper, who contributed one each.

Bronson Moore rejected 39 shots on goal for Wenatchee Wolves 18U. Wenatchee Wolves 18U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jordan Wilde recorded 19 saves for Pursuit of Excellence 18U. Pursuit of Excellence 18U incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
