Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Meijer AAA 18U defeated CYA 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout lasted for 10 attempts between the teams. CYA 18U got a shootout goal from Jack Greenberg. Meijer AAA 18U's other shootout goal was scored by Skylar Miller.

Meijer AAA 18U kept CYA 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brendan Murray made 35 saves on 38 shots.

Meijer AAA 18U was helped by Zack Olen, who registered one goal. Olen scored 13:26 into the third period to make the score 3-2 CYA 18U. Caleb Hite provided the assist. Meijer AAA 18U also got a goal from Luke Cornell as well. Other players who recorded assists for Meijer AAA 18U were Pat Modaff and Nick Koperdak, who contributed one each.

CYA 18U forced Meijer AAA 18U's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 46 shots and forcing 44 saves. Colt Hanks made 26 stops and Dawson Minder made 18. CYA 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Meijer AAA 18U to score on any of its four power plays.

CYA 18U was led by Brian Sanzone, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Sanzone scored 4:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CYA 18U. Kilian Hammersmith picked up the assist. Others who scored for CYA 18U included Gavin Proeh and Taylor Papesh, who scored one goal each. In addition, CYA 18U received assists from Samuel Sterne, who had one.

Meijer AAA 18U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. CYA 18U incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
