Huge game by Ernst boosts Esmark Stars 18U over San Diego Jr. Gulls 18U, 7-0

Caleb Ernst had two goals and one assist to lead Esmark Stars 18U to a 7-0 victory over San Diego Jr. Gulls 18U.

Ernst found the back of the net 34 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Esmark Stars 18U and again while 10:31 into the second to make the score 4-0 Esmark Stars 18U.

Esmark Stars 18U's penalty kill excelled, as Esmark Stars 18U gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:34 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts.

Esmark Stars 18U racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time.
