Compuware 18U downs New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, 5-2

James Sotiroff finished with one point to lead Compuware 18U to a 5-2 victory over New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U.

Compuware 18U forced New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's goalies to work in net, ripping 35 shots and forcing 30 saves. Colin Burgess made 18 stops and Colin Cain made 12. Compuware 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Compuware 18U also had goals scored by Brandon Van Ophem, Matt Medonis, Jhuwon Davis, and Todd Trottier, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Compuware 18U were Avery Hill, cory checco, Grant Bondy, Zach Shapiro, Austin Morgan, and Spencer Van Tiem, who contributed one each.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Compuware 18U to score on any of its seven power plays.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U was led by Brian Lange, who had one goal. Lange scored 3:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Compuware 18U. Jimmy Stanger also scored for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U.

Compuware 18U's Nick Donofrio stopped 17 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Compuware 18U ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Compuware 18U ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Van Ophem was ejected from the game. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U ended with 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, TJ Hawkins was ejected from the game.
