Chicago Mission 18U outlasts Honeybaked 18U, 6-4

Chicago Mission 18U and Honeybaked 18U were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Chicago Mission 18U made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.

Chicago Mission 18U gained the winning advantage on a goal by Demetri Katsis 13:45 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Chicago Mission 18U capitalized on Honeybaked 18U's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Chicago Mission 18U was led by Joseph Abate, who registered two goals. Abate scored the first of his two goals at 14:55 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Chicago Mission 18U. Abate's next tally made the score 6-4 Chicago Mission 18U with 6:01 left in the third period. Daniel Chang provided the assist.
