Trenton falls to Kingston in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Kingston Voyageurs' Spencer Green scored 7:55 into overtime to beat the Trenton Golden Hawks, 5-4 (OT).

With the win, Kingston evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Joey Beaudoin had a great game for the Voyageurs, netting two goals. Beaudoin scored at 10:11 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kingston and again while on the power play 12:58 into the third to make the score 4-4.

Kingston kept Trenton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Kapelmaster made 29 saves on 34 shots.

Kingston additionally got points from Alex Stothart, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kingston also got a goal from Matt Hoover as well. More assists for Kingston came via Cole Bolton, who had two, Rory McGuire, who had three, and Ryan Watson, Michael Crocock, and Joey Rutkowski, who each chipped in one.

The Voyageurs were unable to stop the Golden Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Trenton eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

The Golden Hawks were led by Brady Wiffen, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Wiffen scored 11:08 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Trenton. Trenton also got points from Tyler Donaldson, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Trenton included Danny Liscio and Braden Hellems, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Hunter Fargey, who had two and Kevin Lavoie and Zach de Concilys, who contributed one each.

Daniel Urbani rejected 36 shots on goal for Kingston. The Voyageurs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Trenton incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
