Toronto Jr. Canadiens outlasts Toronto Patriots, 3-2

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens and the Toronto Patriots Patriots were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Toronto Jr. Canadiens made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Luca Farrace's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

With the win, the Junior Canadiens evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was paced by Farrace, who had one goal and one assist. Farrace scored 6:56 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Aaron Spivak picked up the assist.

The Junior Canadiens did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Nicholas Jarzabek, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from Anthony Repaci as well. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Justin Maiolino, who had two.

Toronto Patriots was helped by Nicholas Ursitti, who registered one goal. Ursitti scored 4:31 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Matthew Cairns provided the assist. Mitch Emerson also scored for Toronto Patriots. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Tyler Currie and Kody Gagnon, who each chipped in one.

Nathan Colitto made 25 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens on 27 shots. The Junior Canadiens registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Mathew Robson recorded 23 saves for the Patriots. Toronto Patriots finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-1 with the man advantage.
