Huge game by Liscio boosts Trenton over Cobourg, 5-2

The Trenton Golden Hawks' Danny Liscio had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Cobourg Cougars.

Liscio scored at 5:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton and again while on the power play 12:14 into the second to make the score 4-2 Trenton.

The win gave Trenton a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Golden Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Trenton also got points from Zach de Concilys, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also had goals scored by Kevin Lavoie and Michael Siddall, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Brady Wiffen, who had two and Liam Morgan, Braedyn Asselstine, Chrisitian Lloyd, and Nick Santoro, who each chipped in one.

Cobourg's offense rang up 37 shots on Trenton's net.

The Cougars were helped by Connor Armour, who finished with one goal. Armour scored 5:09 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cobourg also got a goal from Matt Carroll as well. More assists for Cobourg came via Mitchell Gibson, who had one.

The Golden Hawks' Justin Kapelmaster stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Trenton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Golden Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Pizzo was ejected from the game. Tyler Lewis took the loss and made 12 saves before being replaced by Stefano Durante who made 12 saves. Cobourg incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
