Mathew Robson was superb between the pipes for the Toronto Patriots Patriots, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Oakville Blades. The win gave Toronto Patriots a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Patriots were led by Jeremy Pullara, who had one goal. Pullara scored 1:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots. Toronto Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Oakville power plays. Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Marcus Rose as well. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Nicholas Ursitti and Louis DiMatteo, who each chipped in one. Mathew Robson made 29 saves for the Patriots on 29 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Oakville's Daniel Mannella stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Blades incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Oakville, Ryan Burns was ejected from the game.
