Toronto Jr. Canadiens wins tough contest against Georgetown, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Georgetown Raiders.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Anthony Repaci's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The win by Toronto Jr. Canadiens clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Junior Canadiens were led by Repaci, who grabbed one goal. Repaci scored 18:18 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Nicholas Jarzabek picked up the assist.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens kept Georgetown's goalie busy throughout the game, and Marc Williams made 31 saves on 34 shots. The Junior Canadiens did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Kevin Hancock and Justin Maiolino, who scored one goal each. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Andrew Mullen and Anthony Trujillo, who contributed one each.

The Raiders stifled Toronto Jr. Canadiens' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Georgetown forced the Junior Canadiens goalie Nathan Colitto to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

The Raiders were helped by Blake Jones, who registered one goal. Jones scored 19:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Jordan Brown provided the assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Steve Hladin as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Zack Dybowski, Anthony Marra, and John Adams, who each chipped in one.

Colitto recorded 31 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Georgetown incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Raiders, Gavin Shantz was ejected from the game.
