Urbani stymies Aurora, Kingston wins 7-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Daniel Urbani helped the Kingston Voyageurs defeat the Aurora Tigers, 7-1.

With the win, Kingston avoided elimination to make the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series.

Adam Brady had a great game for the Voyageurs, netting two goals. Brady's tallies came on the power play at 4:29 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Kingston and on the power play 10:34 into the third to make the score 5-1 Kingston.

Aurora's nine penalties came back to haunt it, as the Tigers let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

Kingston's offense rang up 35 shots on Aurora's net.

Kingston also got points from Alex Stothart, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Spencer Green, who also had one goal and one assist. Kingston also got a goal from Colin Tonge as well. More assists for Kingston came via Michael Crocock, who had two, Alex Tonge, who had three, and Blake ONeill, Josh Hicks, Ryan Watson, Adam Moodie, and Cole Bolton, who contributed one each.

The Tigers were led by Jordan DaSilva, who scored the team's only goal. DaSilva scored on the power play 11:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Aurora had taken the advantage when the Voyageurs' Urbani got sent off for delay of game. Drake Board picked up the assist.

Kingston's Urbani stopped 29 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Voyageurs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Kingston, Joey Beaudoin was ejected from the game. Andy Munroe made 28 saves for the Tigers on 35 shots. Aurora incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Tigers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Taylor Joseph was ejected from the game.
