Kingston falls to Aurora in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Aurora Tigers pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Kingston Voyageurs on a clutch goal by Liam Neuman.

The win gave Aurora a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Tigers were led by goalie Andy Munroe, who finished with 50 saves while allowing one goal. Munroe certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.76 entering the contest.

Aurora was paced by Neuman, who tallied one goal. Neuman scored 9:39 into to make the score 2-1 Aurora. Nicholas Erb picked up the assist.

The Tigers kept Kingston's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Penta made 57 saves on 59 shots. Aurora did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Aurora also got a goal from Johnny Curran as well. More assists for Aurora came via Keaton Ratcliffe, Cameron Morrison, and Anthony Passero, who contributed one each.

The Voyageurs forced the Tigers goalie Munroe to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Kingston was led by Alex Tonge, who scored the team's only goal. Tonge scored 7:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. Joey Beaudoin assisted on the tally.

Aurora registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Voyageurs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
