Toronto Patriots downs St. Michaels, 8-4

Nicholas Ursitti registered one point to lead the Toronto Patriots Patriots to an 8-4 victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers.

The win by Toronto Patriots clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

In the losing effort, St. Michaels was paced by Thomas Beretta, who tallied three goals.

The Patriots forced Buzzers' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 43 shots and forcing 35 saves. George Argiropoulos made 29 stops and Mark Manolescu made six. Toronto Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Buzzers to score on any of their three power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Toronto Patriots also got points from Tyler Currie, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Niko Kovachis, who also had two goals and one assist, and Marcus Rose, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Nathan Feric, Nicholas Geiser, and Jeremy Pullara, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Jacob Hayhurst, who had two, Nico Gonzalez, who had three, and Mario Ferraro, Beau Browning, Mitch Emerson, Mathew Robson, Louis DiMatteo, Marco Bozzo, and Quinn Syrydiuk, who contributed one each.

St. Michaels also got a goal from Scott Teskey as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Joseph Berton, who had two and Ashur Elliot, Noah Jordan, Cameron Searles, and Joseph Garreffa, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots took out Emanuel Vella after he had made 10 saves and installed Robson in goal, where he finished with nine saves and the win. Toronto Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. St. Michaels incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Buzzers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Bron Loiselle was ejected from the game.
