Aurora rips Newmarket, 4-0

The Newmarket Hurricanes had trouble finding ways to stop the Aurora Tigers, which beat Hurricanes, 4-0.

The win by Aurora broke a deadlock and gave the Tigers a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Liam Neuman had a great game for Aurora, netting two goals. Neuman found the back of the net 12:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and again while on the power play 11:55 into the third to make the score 4-0 Aurora.

The Tigers stifled Newmarket's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Aurora also got points from Eric Williams, who also registered one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Drake Board as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Vince Figliomeni, who had two and Kyle Locke, Noah Delmas, Keaton Ratcliffe, and Nolan Dunn, who each chipped in one.

Aurora's Andy Munroe stopped 18 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Connor Ryckman rejected 21 shots on goal for the Hurricanes. Newmarket incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Hurricanes, Mitchell Duggan was ejected from the game.
