Toronto Jr. Canadiens falls to North York in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The North York Rangers' Max Novick scored 7:22 into overtime to beat the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens, 3-2 (OT).

With the win, North York avoided elimination to make the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series.

The Rangers were paced by Novick, who finished with one goal.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. North York did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Others who scored for North York included Michael Morgan and Nick Zanette, who scored one goal each. In addition, North York received assists from Kyle Clarke, Gabriel Valenzuela, Luke Kutkevicius, and Ryan Takamatsu, who contributed one each.

The Junior Canadiens' offense rang up 55 shots on the Rangers' net.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was helped by Justin Maiolino, who grabbed one goal. Maiolino scored 33 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Nicholas Jarzabek assisted on the tally. Ryan MacSpadyen also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Matthew Ferrari and Aaron Spivak, who each chipped in one.

Gianluca Baggetta recorded 53 saves for North York. The Rangers registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Daniel Lopapa made 33 saves for the Junior Canadiens on 36 shots. Toronto Jr. Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
