Esmark Stars 14U rips Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U, 9-2

Esmark Stars 14U had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-2 win over Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U.

William Rapone was all over the ice for Esmark Stars 14U, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Rapone scored the first of his two goals short handed at 15:21 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Esmark Stars 14U. A holding call on Christian Gorscak put Esmark Stars 14U on the penalty kill. Matthew Weber picked up the assist. Rapone's next tally short handed made the score 7-2 Esmark Stars 14U with 9:14 left in the third period. Esmark Stars 14U had gained a power play chance when Matthew Munro was whistled for tripping. Weber provided the assist.

Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U fell victim to a deadly Esmark Stars 14U power play, which ripped Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U for five goals.

Esmark Stars 14U stifled Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Esmark Stars 14U's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Esmark Stars 14U also got points from Weber, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Jared Schimizzi, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Esmark Stars 14U included Gavin Morrison, who had two and Andrew Wells and Nicholas Koziara, who each put in one. More assists for Esmark Stars 14U came via Brendan Crousey, Giovanni Romeo, Samuel Stites, and Chazz Knoche, who each chipped in one and Dawson Sciarrino and Nicholas Carretta, who contributed two each.

Texas Jr. Brahmas 14U found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 10 shots against Esmark Stars 14U's defense.
