Casper Coyotes stifles Missoula Maulers' comeback, gains 3-2 victory

Casper Coyotes, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Missoula Maulers and clinched a 3-2 victory.

Casper Coyotes led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Casper Coyotes' Jordan Klimovsky scored at 3:54 in the second period to put Casper Coyotes up 3-0.

Casper Coyotes managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Casper Coyotes ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Missoula Maulers was unable to stop Casper Coyotes from sending pucks towards the net, and Casper Coyotes eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Casper Coyotes was helped by Toni Haikarainen, who registered one goal. Haikarainen scored 20:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Casper Coyotes. Alex Rowland assisted on the tally. Brandyn Fogarty also scored for Casper Coyotes. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from Brock Weitl, Luke Erickson, Dmytro Babenko, and Tim Odermatt, who each chipped in one.

Alexandre Lussier recorded 17 saves for Casper Coyotes. Casper Coyotes registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Noah Parker made 28 saves for Missoula Maulers on 31 shots. Missoula Maulers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
