Ogden Mustangs falls to Missoula Maulers after surprising comebackLas Vegas North Wed, Dec 17, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Missoula Maulers battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over Ogden Mustangs. Missoula Maulers never led in the game until netting the game winner. Missoula Maulers trailed 2-0 after a goal by Ogden Mustangs' Schuyler Seyfert at 14:50 in the first period. Missoula Maulers knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Sam Sevcik at 15:54 in the second period. Missoula Maulers scored the game winner at 17:29 in the second period on a goal by Sevcik. Missoula Maulers got the win behind a great game by Corey Schafer, who had two goals and one assist. Schafer scored the first of his two goals at 4:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ogden Mustangs. Sevcik provided the assist. Schafer's next tally made the score 3-2 Missoula Maulers with 2:31 left in the second period. Sawyer Jacobson picked up the assist. Missoula Maulers additionally got points from Sevcik, who also had one goal and two assists. In addition, Missoula Maulers received assists from Joey Porco, who had one. Ogden Mustangs stifled Missoula Maulers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ogden Mustangs did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season.
