San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over West Coast Renegades 14U. Coalson Wolford was all over the ice for San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Wolford scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U had gained a power play chance when Parker Jones was whistled for boarding. Samuel Hakkarainen assisted on the tally. Wolford's next tally on the power play made the score 3-0 San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U with 15:50 left in the second period. Spencer Light picked up the assist. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow West Coast Renegades 14U to score on any of its seven power plays. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U forced West Coast Renegades 14U goalie Titan Anderson to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U also got points from Hakkarainen, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U included Sean Sweeny and Zachary Podlesh, who scored one goal each. In addition, San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U received assists from Anthony Goldhawk, who had two and Grant Kawamoto and Jacob Schroeck, who contributed one each. West Coast Renegades 14U's offense was handcuffed by San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U's defensive play, and West Coast Renegades 14U managed only 11 shots on goal during the game. West Coast Renegades 14U's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U's power play unit. San Jose Jr. Sharks 13U's Elliot Boz stopped 11 shots out of the 11 that he faced. Titan Anderson made 30 saves for West Coast Renegades 14U on 34 shots. West Coast Renegades 14U incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
