Ontario Avalanche blows out Arizona Redhawks, 10-1

Ontario Avalanche had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 10-1 win over Arizona Redhawks.

Antoine Maillard had two goals and two assists to lead Ontario Avalanche. Maillard scored the first of his two goals at 3:52 into the third period to make the score 9-1 Ontario Avalanche. Paul Ramsey provided the assist. Maillard's next tally made the score 10-1 Ontario Avalanche with 9:39 left in the third period. Ramsey assisted on the tally.

Ontario Avalanche stifled Arizona Redhawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ontario Avalanche's offense rang up 51 shots on Arizona Redhawks' net. Ontario Avalanche surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Ontario Avalanche has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Ontario Avalanche got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Ontario Avalanche additionally got points from Basil Reynolds, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Martin Carlsson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Thurel Kast, who also registered one goal and two assists, Ramsey, who also tallied one goal and three assists, Jesse Simone, who also had one goal and one assist, and Zechariah Roberts, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Ontario Avalanche also had goals scored by Michael Thomas and Marc Janisch, who each put in one. In addition, Ontario Avalanche received assists from Tre Mason, Sebastian Keskitola, Henning Danielsson, Andrew Guzman, and Jonathan Stuxberg, who contributed one each and Jackson Giammona and Nick Anderson, who each chipped in two.

Daniel Cepila took the win and made 20 saves before being replaced by Chris Skeates who made two saves. Ontario Avalanche totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For Ontario Avalanche, Donovan Shambeau was ejected from the game. Brenden Leise made 41 saves for Arizona Redhawks on 51 shots. Arizona Redhawks totaled 27 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
