Wichita Jr. Thunder survived a determined comeback attempt by Dallas Snipers on the way to a 4-3 win. Wichita Jr. Thunder made the score 4-2 on a goal by Joel Gellvear at 3:52 in the third period, and Dallas Snipers got as close as 4-3 when Jason Moore scored 14:50 into the third period. Gellvear had a great game for Wichita Jr. Thunder, netting two goals. Wichita Jr. Thunder excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Wichita Jr. Thunder additionally got points from Jack McClelland, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Peter Cicmanec also scored for Wichita Jr. Thunder. Other players who recorded assists for Wichita Jr. Thunder were Zach Balodis, Jet Bell, and Tom Lindstrom, who contributed one each.
