Lake Tahoe Blue tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but Butte Cobras would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 9-7. Butte Cobras took a 7-3 lead during the third period, only to have Lake Tahoe Blue storm back on a Igor Stibysh goal 10:10 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Butte Cobras got the win thanks to a great game by Anton Zimmer, who had two goals and two assists. Zimmer scored the first of his two goals at 11:55 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Butte Cobras. Jacob Rudloff assisted on the tally. Zimmer's next tally made the score 5-3 Butte Cobras with 7:28 left in the second period. Bogdan Shleev picked up the assist.
