Salt Lake City Moose blows out Colorado Evolution, 6-3

Salt Lake City Moose had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over Colorado Evolution.

Salt Lake City Moose was paced by Ryan Solomon, who finished with one goal and one assist. Solomon scored on the power play 10:06 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose earned a power play opportunity when Maksims Resetnikovs was put in the box for slashing. Erik Ahlen provided the assist.

Salt Lake City Moose was sparked by Solomon, who had one goal and one assist.

Salt Lake City Moose forced Colorado Evolution's goalies to work without much rest, finishing with 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Resetnikovs made 37 stops and Sergii Pysarenko made eight. Salt Lake City Moose surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Salt Lake City Moose averages 3.8 goals per game. Salt Lake City Moose's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Salt Lake City Moose also got points from Ahlen, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Dan Veselovsky, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Colorado Evolution was led by Jon Dewerd, who registered one goal and two assists. Dewerd scored on the power play 19:16 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Salt Lake City Moose. Colorado Evolution had gained a power play chance when Corson was whistled for roughing. Nikita Sokov picked up the assist. Colorado Evolution additionally got points from Kyrylo Zhovnir, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Dmitrijs Komarnickis also scored for Colorado Evolution.

Ryan Gasparovic made 27 saves for Salt Lake City Moose on 30 shots. Salt Lake City Moose incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Colorado Evolution incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
