Missoula Maulers rolls over Seattle Totems, 12-3

Missoula Maulers had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 12-3 win over Seattle Totems.

Edward Pollon had four goals to lead Missoula Maulers to victory. Pollon got on the scoresheet 3:55 into the second period. He then added goals at 19:38 into the second, at 1:16 into the third, and at 4:25 into the third.

Seattle Totems was unable to stop Missoula Maulers from sending pucks towards the net, and Missoula Maulers eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Missoula Maulers bested its season scoring average. Missoula Maulers averages 5.2 goals per game.

Missoula Maulers also got points from Evan Dorwart, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Sawyer Jacobson, who also had one goal and one assist, Alex Shalamov, who also registered one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, and Andrei Shebelbain, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Missoula Maulers included Justin Barnes, Damon Hanson, and Paige Maul, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula Maulers were Vladislav Zamzhytski, who had two, Tyler Zandhuisen, Dominic Rinaldi, Joey Porco, and Corey Schafer, who each chipped in one, and Domantas Cypas and Tanner Todd, who contributed three each.

Seattle Totems was helped by Duncan Long, who finished with one goal and one assist. Long scored on the power play 4:40 into the third period to make the score 11-3 Missoula Maulers. Seattle Totems had gotten the advantage when Missoula Maulers' Zandhuisen was sent off for high sticking. August Cnattingius picked up the assist. Marek Nemec also scored for Seattle Totems. More assists for Seattle Totems came via Matt Brzozowiec, who had two and Gunnar Forseth and Lukas Vendis, who each chipped in one.

Aron Holmgren rejected 25 shots on goal for Missoula Maulers. Missoula Maulers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Angus Campbell recorded 30 saves for Seattle Totems. Seattle Totems incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
