Colorado RoughRiders hangs on, beats Colorado Eagles 3-1

Nick Kuhn scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Colorado RoughRiders held off the challenges of Colorado Eagles in a tough 3-1 win.

Kuhn provided Colorado RoughRiders with the game-winning tally when he scored 6:35 into the first period. Hunter Behrens picked up the assist.

Colorado RoughRiders was led by goalie Ashton Opperman, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal.

Colorado RoughRiders' penalty kill excelled, as Colorado RoughRiders gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Colorado RoughRiders' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 13.0 minutes per game Colorado RoughRiders had been spending in the box.
