Arizona Redhawks beats San Diego 4-2 after comeback scare

San Diego tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Arizona Redhawks held on for a 4-2 victory.

Arizona Redhawks made the score 4-0 on a goal by Christoffer Nygren at 3:39 in the second period, and San Diego got as close as 4-2 when Nurbek Baltayev scored 19:59 into the third period.

Arizona Redhawks outdid its season average for goals scored. Arizona Redhawks has scored at the pace of 1.7 goal per game during the current campaign.

Arizona Redhawks was helped by Jeramy Zimick, who had one goal. Zimick scored 58 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arizona Redhawks. Arizona Redhawks additionally got points from Nygren, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Vvis Skrebels, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Alex Cerda, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Arizona Redhawks received assists from Timothy Muhsman, Hayden Miller, and Cody Pisciola, who contributed one each.

San Diego was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.
