Fresno Monsters rips Arizona Redhawks, 5-2

Fresno Monsters had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over Arizona Redhawks.

Fresno Monsters managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Fresno Monsters finished below its season average of 24.0 penalty minutes per game. Arizona Redhawks was unable to stop Fresno Monsters from sending pucks towards the net, and Fresno Monsters eventually piled up 60 shots on goal.

Fresno Monsters was led by Evan Ingram, who registered two goals and one assist. Ingram scored the first of his two goals at 1:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fresno Monsters. Dan Fitzgerald picked up the assist. Ingram's next tally made the score 2-0 Fresno Monsters with 3:14 left in the first period. Mike Nolan assisted on the tally. Fresno Monsters also got points from Nolan, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Fresno Monsters also had goals scored by Owen Sikich and Conner Hyden, who scored one goal each. More assists for Fresno Monsters came via Brantt Heble, who had two and Corey Munro and Gianmarco Guidon, who each chipped in one.

Arizona Redhawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Arizona Redhawks was helped by Hayden Miller, who racked up one goal. Miller scored 19:31 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Fresno Monsters. Brian McDonald picked up the assist. Arizona Redhawks also got a goal from Timothy Muhsman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Arizona Redhawks were Vvis Skrebels, Gustav Parson, and Alex Cerda, who contributed one each.

Fresno Monsters' Matthew Soldano stopped 17 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Fresno Monsters registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Cole Andersen rejected 55 shots on goal for Arizona Redhawks. Arizona Redhawks registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
