Missoula Maulers had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-4 win over Butte Cobras.

Missoula Maulers got the win on the strength of a great game by Damon Hanson, who had two goals and two assists. Hanson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Missoula Maulers. Missoula Maulers had gotten the advantage when Butte Cobras' Chadd Lounder was sent off for hooking. Austin Azzinnaro provided the assist. Hanson's next tally on the power play made the score 7-3 Missoula Maulers with 3:14 left in the second period. Tanner Todd picked up the assist.
