Springfield Express stifles Dallas Snipers' comeback, gains 6-4 victory

Springfield Express came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Dallas Snipers, but did just enough to escape with a 6-4 victory.

Springfield Express led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Springfield Express' Diego Bartlett scored at 18:53 in the second period to put Springfield Express up 4-1.

Linus Dahlberg was all over the ice for Springfield Express, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Dahlberg scored 19:55 into the third period to make the score 6-4 Springfield Express.

Springfield Express forced Dallas Snipers goalie Renaud Gaboury to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Springfield Express could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 25 minutes in penalties during the game. Springfield Express got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Springfield Express additionally got points from David Higgs, who also registered one goal and one assist. Springfield Express also had goals scored by Rasmus Alamaa and Eric Anderson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Springfield Express received assists from Quade Hamlin, Philip Babb, and Collin Young, who contributed one each and Derek Smith and Seth Ensor, who each chipped in two.

Dallas Snipers kept Springfield Express' goalie busy throughout the game, and Babb made 41 saves on 45 shots.

Dallas Snipers was helped by Trent Williams, who had one goal. Williams scored 10:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Springfield Express. Justin Becton picked up the assist. Dallas Snipers also got points from Erik Svensson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dallas Snipers included Jean Cobo and Alexander Yunanov, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Snipers were Peter Kutlak, Pavol Kotzman, and Dusan Olsa, who contributed one each.

Springfield Express registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Gaboury rejected 27 shots on goal for Dallas Snipers. Dallas Snipers totaled 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors and went 2-for-8 on the power play.
