Tulsa Jr. Oilers downs Dallas Snipers in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Sam Mancini gave Tulsa Jr. Oilers a 4-3 (OT) victory over Dallas Snipers when he scored 26 seconds into the extra period.

Hunter Best had two goals and one assist to lead Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Best scored the first of his two goals at 11:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Mancini picked up the assist. Best's next tally made the score 2-1 Tulsa Jr. Oilers with 9:08 left in the second period. Maksim Chegrintcev provided the assist.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers also got points from Chegrintcev, who also tallied one goal and three assists and Mancini, who also had one goal and one assist.

Dallas Snipers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Dallas Snipers wound up below its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game.

Dallas Snipers was helped by Peter Kutlak, who registered one goal. Kutlak scored 16:42 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Mike Misantonis picked up the assist. Others who scored for Dallas Snipers included Justin Becton and Jean Cobo, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Snipers were Yuri Kobzyev, Alexander Yunanov, Erik Svensson, and Yevgeni Nikolaev, who contributed one each.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers' Teke Murphy stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Tulsa Jr. Oilers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Renaud Gaboury rejected 19 shots on goal for Dallas Snipers.
