Todd's hat trick boosts Missoula Maulers over Whitefish Wolverines, 10-1

Tanner Todd netted a hat trick to lead Missoula Maulers over Whitefish Wolverines, 10-1.

Todd's first goal came 13:28 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:41 into the second and at 14:26 into the second.

Missoula Maulers pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Missoula Maulers forced Whitefish Wolverines' goalies to work between the pipes, ripping 60 shots and forcing 50 saves. Joakim Hidestrand made 26 stops and Ethan Wiese made 24. Missoula Maulers surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Missoula Maulers averages 4.5 goals per contest.

Missoula Maulers also got points from Sawyer Jacobson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Wyatt Mathews, who also had one goal and one assist, Alex Shalamov, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Corey Schafer, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Missoula Maulers also got a goal from Andrei Shebelbain as well. More assists for Missoula Maulers came via Damon Hanson, who had four, Vladislav Zamzhytski, Henrik Ekestahl, Tyler Lodin, Matt Chamberlain, Emil Travergard, and Edward Pollon, who each chipped in one, and Dominic Rinaldi and Joey Porco, who contributed two each.

Whitefish Wolverines was led by Bryan Polmear, who scored the team's only goal. Polmear scored on the power play 10:58 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Missoula Maulers. Whitefish Wolverines earned a power play opportunity when Schafer was put in the box for boarding. Kieffer Helbing provided the assist.

Noah Parker recorded 24 saves for Missoula Maulers. Missoula Maulers registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Whitefish Wolverines incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Whitefish Wolverines, Hidestrand was ejected from the game.
