Butte Cobras beats Lake Tahoe Blue 7-4 as Lovestrom gets hat trick

Lake Tahoe Blue could not stop Butte Cobras' Johan Lovestrom, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win.

Lovestrom's first goal came 3:31 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:22 into the first and at 10:38 into the third.

Butte Cobras' offense rang up 44 shots on Lake Tahoe Blue's net. Butte Cobras found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Butte Cobras averages 2.7 goals per contest.

Butte Cobras additionally got points from PJ Silveria, who also had one goal and one assist, Bogdan Shleev, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Anton Zimmer, who also registered one goal and two assists. Josh Smith also scored for Butte Cobras. In addition, Butte Cobras received assists from Kevin Philbin, who had two, Anton Bokull, who had three, and Clinton Hildebrand and Noakes Gordon, who contributed one each.

Lake Tahoe Blue kept Butte Cobras' goalie busy throughout the game, and Reed Kinsey made 32 saves on 36 shots.

Lake Tahoe Blue was helped by David Raus, who registered two goals. Raus scored the first of his two goals at 4:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Charlie Hammerback picked up the assist. Raus' next tally made the score 2-2 with 11:13 left in the first period. Lake Tahoe Blue found itself down a man on Sheamus Stoyle's roughing. Julius Bauermeister assisted on the tally. Lake Tahoe Blue also got points from Bauermeister, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Lake Tahoe Blue also got a goal from Kristers Seps as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lake Tahoe Blue were Brandon Aab, Aksel Friberg, and Hunter Lovdokken, who each chipped in one.

Butte Cobras incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cole Andersen made 37 saves for Lake Tahoe Blue on 44 shots. Lake Tahoe Blue incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
