Salt Lake City Moose stifles Colorado Evolution's comeback, gains 4-2 victory

Salt Lake City Moose came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Colorado Evolution, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

Salt Lake City Moose led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Salt Lake City Moose's Brett Myer scored at 12:20 in the second period to put Salt Lake City Moose up 3-0.

Myer had one goal and two assists to lead Salt Lake City Moose.

Salt Lake City Moose put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Colorado Evolution to score on any of its four power plays.

Salt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Dan Veselovsky, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Salt Lake City Moose also had goals scored by Joe Barnes and Jurijs Moiseicenko, who each put in one. More assists for Salt Lake City Moose came via Ross Gann, who had two and Charlie Granath, Brian Crink, and Filip Hedvall, who each chipped in one.

Colorado Evolution stifled Salt Lake City Moose's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Colorado Evolution was helped by Dmitrijs Komarnickis, who finished with one goal. Komarnickis scored 2:25 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Salt Lake City Moose. Ruslan Zabulonov picked up the assist. Colorado Evolution also got a goal from Nick Rems as well. In addition, Colorado Evolution received assists from Jon Dewerd, who had one.

Ryan Gasparovic recorded 20 saves for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colorado Evolution's Sergii Pysarenko stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Colorado Evolution incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
