Wichita Jr. Thunder outlasts Dallas Snipers, 3-2

The game between Wichita Jr. Thunder and Dallas Snipers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Wichita Jr. Thunder emerged with a 3-2 win.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Ivan Brvenik's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Brvenik was all over the ice for Wichita Jr. Thunder, as he registered two goals in the win.

Wichita Jr. Thunder's penalty kill excelled, as Wichita Jr. Thunder gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Wichita Jr. Thunder kept Dallas Snipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Drew Stuve made 28 saves on 31 shots.

Brock Steffen also scored for Wichita Jr. Thunder. More assists for Wichita Jr. Thunder came via Peter Cicmanec, who had two and Matej Porzer, Patrik Janac, Chance Aquino, and Tom Simpson, who contributed one each.

Wichita Jr. Thunder was unable to stop Dallas Snipers from sending pucks towards the net, and Dallas Snipers eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Dallas Snipers found itself short handed often, totaling 28 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.

Dallas Snipers was led by Trent Williams, who finished with one goal and one assist. Williams scored 10:55 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Wichita Jr. Thunder. Justin Becton picked up the assist. Dallas Snipers also got a goal from Alexander Yunanov as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Snipers were Mike Misantonis and Erik Svensson, who each chipped in one.

Jake Larson made 40 saves for Wichita Jr. Thunder on 42 shots. Wichita Jr. Thunder incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
