Beck leads Salt Lake City Moose over Cheyenne Stampede, 5-2

Devan Beck was all over the ice for Salt Lake City Moose, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Salt Lake City Moose's 5-2 win over Cheyenne Stampede.

Beck scored at 15:21 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Salt Lake City Moose and again while on the power play 17:45 into the second to make the score 4-2 Salt Lake City Moose.

Salt Lake City Moose pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Salt Lake City Moose stifled Cheyenne Stampede's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Salt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Jonathan Svensson, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Salt Lake City Moose included Dylan Canoy and Brett Howard, who scored one goal each. More assists for Salt Lake City Moose came via Dmitry Kuznetsov, who had one, Dan Veselovsky, who had two, and Jurijs Moiseicenko, who had three.

Cheyenne Stampede kept Salt Lake City Moose's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Gasparovic made 54 saves on 56 shots. Cheyenne Stampede struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Salt Lake City Moose to score two power play goals on three chances.

Cheyenne Stampede was helped by Cody Key, who had one goal. Key scored 18 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cheyenne Stampede. Michael Ballard provided the assist. Branko Oktavec also scored for Cheyenne Stampede. Other players who recorded assists for Cheyenne Stampede were Heath Lantz and Garrett Hughes, who contributed one each.

Cheyenne Stampede's Corey Foster stopped 18 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Cheyenne Stampede incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
