Southern Oregon Spartans rides Edelkoort III to victory over Missoula Maulers, 2-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Tymen Edelkoort III helped Southern Oregon Spartans defeat Missoula Maulers, 2-1.

Southern Oregon Spartans was paced by Mackenzie Wood, who had one goal. Wood scored 9:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Southern Oregon Spartans. Devin Laird assisted on the tally.

Southern Oregon Spartans put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Missoula Maulers to score on any of its five power plays. Southern Oregon Spartans' offense rang up 35 shots on Missoula Maulers' net.

Zach Lovelace also scored for Southern Oregon Spartans. Other players who recorded assists for Southern Oregon Spartans were Liam Finn and Brody Surette, who each chipped in one.

Missoula Maulers was led by Damon Hanson, who scored the team's only goal. Hanson scored 5:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Missoula Maulers. Wyatt Mathews provided the assist.

Tymen Edelkoort III made 27 saves for Southern Oregon Spartans on 28 shots. Southern Oregon Spartans incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Aron Holmgren recorded 33 saves for Missoula Maulers. Missoula Maulers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
