Salt Lake City Moose uses big second period to beat Ogden Mustangs, 9-2

Ogden Mustangs was within striking distance after one period, but Salt Lake City Moose put the pedal down in the second en route to a 9-2 victory.

Ross Gann was all over the ice for Salt Lake City Moose, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Gann scored on the power play 15:56 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose earned a power play opportunity when Corey Iapalucci was put in the box for high sticking. Brett Myer picked up the assist.

Ogden Mustangs fell victim to a deadly Salt Lake City Moose power play, which ripped Ogden Mustangs for five goals.

Salt Lake City Moose forced Ogden Mustangs' goaltenders to work all game long, finishing with 35 shots and forcing 26 saves. Troy Turpin made 19 stops and Andreas Pettersson made seven. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
