Huge game by Iapalucci boosts Ogden Mustangs over Salt Lake City Moose, 5-2

Corey Iapalucci had one goal and two assists to lead Ogden Mustangs to a 5-2 victory over Salt Lake City Moose.

Iapalucci got on the board by slotting home a goal 11:28 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ogden Mustangs. David Clements picked up the assist. Iapalucci dished an assist on Jakob Engvall's goal that made the score 1-0 Ogden Mustangs at 4:45 into the first period. He added another helper on Jon Mencer's goal that made the score 3-0 Ogden Mustangs at 15:36 into the first period.

Ogden Mustangs pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Ogden Mustangs forced Salt Lake City Moose goalie Brad Robertson to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Ogden Mustangs additionally got points from Mencer, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ogden Mustangs included Andreas Zollner and Schuyler Seyfert, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ogden Mustangs received assists from Edvin Johansson and Andreas Pettersson, who contributed one each.

Salt Lake City Moose excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Salt Lake City Moose was held below its usual level of production. Salt Lake City Moose averages 4.2 goals per game.

Salt Lake City Moose was helped by Cole Corson, who racked up one goal. Corson scored on the power play 19:23 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Ogden Mustangs. A hooking penalty on Seyfert had put Salt Lake City Moose on the power play. Jurijs Moiseicenko provided the assist. Brett Myer also scored for Salt Lake City Moose. More assists for Salt Lake City Moose came via Dylan Canoy, Dan Veselovsky, and Jonathan Svensson, who each chipped in one.

Ogden Mustangs' Pettersson stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Robertson rejected 38 shots on goal for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
