Wheaton, Leamington blank Chatham, 1-0

Trevor Wheaton was superb between the pipes for the Leamington Flyers, as he did not allow a goal in a 1-0 victory over the Chatham Maroons.

The win by Leamington clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

Mitchell Amante's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 16:42 in the third period. Blaine Bechard picked up the assist.

The Flyers were sparked by Amante, who racked up one goal.

Leamington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Chatham stifled the Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Wheaton rejected 25 shots on goal for Leamington. The Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jacob Keogh recorded 26 saves for the Maroons. Chatham incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Maroons, Brayden Hopkins was ejected from the game.
