Leamington boosted by Roudebush's play in net, beats London 6-1

Austyn Roudebush had a standout game with 26 saves, and the Leamington Flyers beat the London Nationals 6-1.

The win by Leamington clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

London fell victim to a deadly the Flyers power play, which ripped the Nationals for four goals.

Leamington was sparked by Nathan Opblinger, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Opblinger scored on the power play 2:48 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. A checking from behind penalty on Matt Fuller had put the Flyers on the power play. Mitchell Amante picked up the assist.

Leamington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Flyers' offense rang up 42 shots on London's net.

Leamington additionally got points from David Dalby, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Alex Seguin, who also had one goal and one assist, and Dylan Seguin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kyle Quick also scored for Leamington. In addition, Leamington received assists from Chris Scott, who had two and J.P. Grineau, Colin Moore, Cale Allen, and Tony Spidalieri, who each chipped in one.

The Nationals were led by Kyle L Robinson, who scored the team's only goal. Robinson scored 6:46 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Leamington.

Leamington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jacob Riley rejected 36 shots on goal for London. The Nationals ended with 45 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major. London ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Fuller was ejected from the game.
