London falls to Leamington in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Leamington Flyers' Eric Henderson scored 11:00 into overtime to beat the London Nationals, 3-2 (OT).

The win by Leamington broke a deadlock and gave the Flyers a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Leamington was paced by Henderson, who had one goal.

The Flyers stifled London's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Nationals were unable to stop Leamington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flyers eventually piled up 68 shots on goal.

Leamington also had goals scored by Mitchell Amante and Dylan Seguin, who each put in one. In addition, Leamington received assists from Blaine Bechard, who had one and Jacob McGhee and Chris Scott, who each chipped in two.

London put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Leamington to score on any of its six power plays. The Nationals' offense rang up 31 shots on the Flyers' net.

London was helped by Austin Kemp, who grabbed one goal. Kemp scored 12:35 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Jeff Bauer picked up the assist. London also got a goal from Kyle L Robinson as well. Other players who recorded assists for London were Paul Hopkins, who had one.

Austyn Roudebush made 29 saves for Leamington on 31 shots. The Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jacob Riley recorded 65 saves for the Nationals. London incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
