Seguin nets hat trick, leads Leamington to 5-3 win over London

A hat trick by Dylan Seguin was the highlight in Flyers' 5-3 win against the London Nationals.

Seguin notched his first tally 4:49 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:18 into the second and at 19:59 into the third.

The win gave the Leamington Flyers a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Leamington led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Flyers' Nathan Opblinger scored on the power play at 12:11 in the second period to put Leamington up 3-0.

London fell victim to a deadly the Flyers power play, which ripped the Nationals for four goals.

London was unable to stop Leamington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flyers eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Leamington additionally got points from Opblinger, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Mitchell Amante, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Leamington came via Alex Seguin and Kyle Quick, who contributed one each.

The Nationals were helped by Drew Worrad, who finished with one goal. Worrad scored 15:00 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Leamington. London also had goals scored by Mark Gazdic and Nik Passero, who scored one goal each. In addition, London received assists from Kyle L Robinson, Mike Whaley, Ryan Tuffin, and Derek Todosichuk, who each chipped in one.

Austyn Roudebush recorded 25 saves for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jacob Riley made 41 saves for London on 45 shots. The Nationals incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors. For London, Matt Fuller was ejected from the game.
