The Stratford Cullitons' Trevor MacDonald scored 1:29 into overtime to beat the Kitchener Dutchmen, 3-2 (OT). The win by Stratford clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. The Cullitons overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Stratford was down 2-0 after a goal by Kitchener's Mitchell Dempsy at 5:47 in the second period. The Cullitons tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nick Nigro at 2:46 in the third period. Stratford pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes. The Cullitons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Stratford's offense rang up 32 shots on the Dutchmen's net. Stratford also got a goal from Drew Gross as well. More assists for Stratford came via Ryker Killins, who had two and Patrick McKelvie, Brett Heaman, and Tyson Baker, who contributed one each. Kitchener stifled the Cullitons' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Dutchmen kept Stratford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicholas Caldwell made 30 saves on 32 shots. Keegan Calder also scored for Kitchener. In addition, Kitchener received assists from Scott Pedersen, Alex Demrovsky, and Adam Kawalec, who each chipped in one. The Cullitons registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. Marc Williams made 29 saves for Kitchener on 32 shots. The Dutchmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
