St. Marys falls to Leamington in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Leamington Flyers' Kyle Quick scored 6:04 into overtime to beat the St. Marys Lincolns, 3-2 (OT).

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, St. Marys faces elimination next time out.

Quick was all over the ice for Leamington, as he tallied two goals in the win.

The Flyers kept the Lincolns' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 58 saves on 61 shots.

Leamington also got a goal from Mitchell Amante as well. In addition, Leamington received assists from Blaine Bechard, Jacob McGhee, Alex Seguin, Nathan Opblinger, and Chris Scott, who contributed one a piece.

Leamington was unable to stop St. Marys from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lincolns eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

St. Marys was led by Ocean Check, who finished with one goal and one assist. Check scored on the power play 16:15 into the second period to make the score 2-2. A high sticking penalty on Colin Moore had put the Lincolns on the power play. Braydon Blight assisted on the tally. Kody Tremblay also scored for St. Marys. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Rai Diloreto and Nathan Smith, who each chipped in one.

The Flyers' Trevor Wheaton stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Leamington incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Marys incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
